Sony confirms PS5 price hike across several regions

Sony is raising PlayStation 5 prices in Europe, Australia and New Zealand from today. The company announced that it will raise its recommended retail price (RRP) due to the “challenging economic environment, high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates”. This marks the second price hike in PS5’s lifespan, following the one from 2022.

Sony also confirmed that select markets in the EMEA region may get price increases and it’s only logical to see hikes across other key markets like the US.
