Apple just added a new Liquid Glass “Tinted” option in iOS 26.1 beta, giving users a way to make the interface more opaque and easier to read. If you’re on the latest iOS 26.1 developer beta, head to Settings → Display & Brightness → Liquid Glass, and you’ll now see the new “Tinted” setting.
This update adjusts the look of the UI in both light and dark mode, reducing transparency for Lock Screen notifications, menus, and navigation bars. The change improves readability and contrast while keeping the same overall iOS 26 design.

👉 iOS 26.1 beta 4 is currently for developers only, but a public beta should arrive soon, with a full release expected later this October.
