This piece of glass can store data for 10,000 years and is kept in a library managed by robots.

A laser etches the data inside the glass, permanently encoding it. One piece can store the equivalent of 13 years worth of music or 3,500 movies.

When your great-great-great-great grandkids are ready to read it, little robots go and fetch the right glass card and bring it to a microscope that scans the data and decodes.
