Stay Current with SAP Cloud ALM: A Look at Newly Released Roadmap Features

Structure of this blog

In this blog, I highlighted the 10 key functionalities introduced in Cloud ALM in Q1 2026 and Q4 2025.

SAP Cloud ALM memory extensionNew RFC metrics available in Health MonitoringCompliance status in Configuration & Security Analysis – Data StoresPrograms for project groupingNew library element creation menu in LibrariesAdvanced checklists in Q-gatesEvidence in Test ManagementRetrofit FunctionalityTransport owner in Transports sectionDocument relation to test casesWhat’s coming up?SAP Cloud ALM, memory extension

Usage Rights include SAP Cloud Service subscriptions containing Enterprise Support, cloud editions, in SAP Enterprise Support and in Product Support for Large Enterprises. This included a baseline of 8 GB SAP HANA Memory which has been increased to 24GB

2.New RFC metrics available in Health Monitoring

Monitoring of RFC metrics is now available with the installation of ST-PI 740 Support Package 33 (SP33).

3.Compliance status in Configuration & Security Analysis – Data Stores

The Check Results and the Compliance score of the service or system are now included in the overview cards in the Configuration & Security Analysis – Data Stores app. The data is fetched from the Validation app.

This gives a summary of the compliance status of the service or system in the Overview page of the Data Stores app.

4.Programs for project grouping

We can now group several projects in a Program which can be navigated directly to the assigned projects through links.

5.New library element creation menu in Libraries

The menu for library element creation was remodeled.

6.Upload of development and interface elements via spreadsheet in Libraries

We can now upload Development and Interface elements using the spreadsheet upload functionality. Two new templates are now available to assist with the upload.

7.Q-Gates Advancement

Advanced checklists in Q-gates

In dynamic quality gates we  can now choose between standard and advanced checklists quality gates to ensure that project meets specific quality criteria before moving on to the next phase.

The following roadmaps  are supported:

Roadmaps

SAP Cloud ERP Private – New ImplementationSAP Cloud ERP Private – System ConversionSAP Cloud ERP Private – Selective Data TransitionRISE with SAP Methodology – clean core success plan

View and edit all existing checklist item attributes in Q-gates checklists

We can now view and edit all existing checklist item attributes in the hierarchical view of checklists coming from dynamic quality gates. The following columns have been added:

ResponsiblePlanned CompletionTeamUser TypeComments

8.Evidence in Test Management

When preparing a manual test case, we can now specify which actions require the testers to provide a screenshot as evidence during the test execution. Test evidence ensures that there’s a clear record of what was tested and of the actual result of the executed test action.

Once the evidence is marked as mandatory in test plan as above, it is required to provide screenshots of the actual result as evidence to proceed further. If the test evidence is not added you get below error.

9.Feature Updates

Retrofit Functionality and transport owner in Transports section

With the Retrofit app, we can synchronize changed objects from a maintenance development system to project a development system in dual track landscapes. Currently, this is only possible for CTS-managed landscapes. Retrofit between different SAP S/4HANA releases and from ECC to SAP S/4HANA aren’t supported.

Transport owner in Transports section

We can now see the transport owner in the Transports section.

10.Document relation to test cases

We can now assign or unassign relations to test cases from within the Documents app.

What’s coming up?

Ability to lock the process hierarchy

To prevent changes of hierarchy trees in SAP Cloud ALM that are received from external systems

Ability to maintain tags on solution activities

Speed up the process of finding solution activities when modeling processes in process authoring

Ability to upload document files to SAP Document Management service that runs on SAP BTP platform

Move document files from SAP Solution Manager to the SAP Cloud ALM solution as part of selective data transfer, including:

Creating internal documents in SAP Cloud ALMDownloading document files from the content server used by SAP Solution ManagerUploading a document as an external file to SAP Document Management service connected to SAP Cloud ALM

Dashboard for RISE with SAP Methodology: executive view

Provide a high-level summary to allow executives quickly access a concise overview of their clean core compliance

 Additional status for 4-tier landscape

A new status value to support 4-tier landscapes properlyTo indicate the deployment readiness for the preproduction system

 Automatic check on transport release

Enable an automatic check to be triggered in the ABAP test cockpit tool at Change and Transport System–managed transport release in a featurePrevent transport from being released if the check fails

Retrofit for upgrade and conversion in SAP S/4HANA

Extend retrofit to support the following scenarios of ABAP dual landscape synchronization:

Upgrade: system tracks on different support packages or software release versionsConversion: SAP ERP Central Component to SAP S/4HANA

I hope this blog helps you find all the required details on what’s new and upcoming on Cloud ALM.
