In this review, we put the Urtopia Carbon Atom to the test, a new SUV-style electric bike built around a Toray carbon fiber frame and priced at $2,499. We cover the 750W rear hub motor and zero-latency torque sensor, the 802Wh battery, the Shimano Acera drivetrain, Tektro hydraulic brakes, the 3.5″ color display with on-screen tuning, and how it all comes together on the road and on light off-road trails.
The big story is the carbon frame, which brings the bike to about 64 pounds, well under most SUV e-bikes, at a price normally reserved for aluminum builds. We run a hill test, a brake test, and a max-power range test (45 miles), check for ghost pedaling, and talk through who this bike is for. We also cover the one-size-fits-most fit, the suspension seatpost (and why this isn’t a full-suspension bike), and Urtopia’s Pedego service network.
Chapters, full specs, and our complete written review are linked below. Our minimum-assist range test is still in progress, so check the written review for updated range numbers. Read More ElectricBikeReview.com
