Today I’m driving a Ford Fiesta Mk5 Zetec S on the Nürburgring Nordschleife — but not a normal one. This thing has a fully built forged 2.0 EcoBoost out of a Focus ST250, a hybrid ST250 turbo, standalone SCS Delta ECU and 340hp in a car that weighs almost nothing. It’s a proper build, and it’s fast in a way that upsets people in far more expensive machinery. Which brings us to the Lamborghini Huracán STO, and a moment I’m still thinking about. In this video: full onboard, what a properly built Mk5 Fiesta feels like on the Nordschleife, the close call, and my honest verdict on one of the best budget track weapons I’ve driven here.
