Technology research and advisory firm IDC has readjusted its semiconductor market outlook from September, predicting year-over-year growth of 20.2% in 2024 due, in part, to growing demand from the US.
While global semiconductor revenue is still expected to see a decrease from $598 billion in 2022 to $526.5 billion in 2023, IDC believes that in addition to resilience in the US, increasing demand from AI server and end point device manufacturers will contribute to the market experiencing a period of growth in 2024, reaching $6.33 billion.
